MEET JOHN CASEY

CASEY Construction is a certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) was founded by John Casey. John continues to lead the company in a manner that reflects the Values instilled upon him by his family and his military background. John Casey has drawn from his life experiences and transformed himself into a highly motivated leader in the construction industry.

John Casey was raised in rural Mason County West Virginia, just outside the small unincorporated town of Apple Grove. With a brother, a sister, and his loving parents, they lived in a modest home on a modest income. Growing up he helped raise and harvest the tobacco that grew on the family farm and also worked with heavy equipment on his Grandfather and Father’s well drilling company.

John Casey graduated from Hannan High School (a small school located in rural Mason County WV) and two weeks after graduating went into the US Air Force where he served as a Fire Fighter. While assigned to the 314th Air Lift wing, was the 1994 Fire Fighter of the Year. John was awarded the US Air Force Accommodation Medal for his role in a response to a Hazardous Material Incident that evacuated over 7,500 persons. John received an Honorable Discharge from the USAF.

After his military career John entered the environmental remediation and construction field and managed several projects throughout the United States over a ten year period that includes four superfund sites.

While working on a long term project just outside of Boston, Mass John was recruited by a commercial construction company in Charleston, WV. He was hired because of his background in the management of large scale multi-million dollar projects.

After finding he had “topped out” with the Company. John left the company and founded CASEY Construction and vowed that the one single principle that this company would grow on was “Integrity”. John draws on his experience to promote the quality reputation of CASEY Construction with out of the box approach to business. John sets down with each customer personally and helps them shape their project working towards their wants and needs while always considering the budget. John shows the customer the “True Project Estimate” for all design-build projects. The customer sees every line item and all of the production rates.

……one last thing …….John bought that old Tobacco Farm, no tobacco raised there anymore… just trees, squirrels, and deer! He built a weekend home on the property and one the weekends he likes to spend there with his family and friends, enjoying the outdoors.
